刺繍をする

（はっ。5ヶ月ぶりの更新。はい、生きておりましたとも！）
タブロー制作や、絵本の絵を描くあいまあいまに、刺繍をした。麻布に、コットンの刺繍糸。そして、ガラスの目をいれた。雪の結晶と、くま（ひぐまかしら？）の親子。タイトルは《「ほら、みてごらん」とままがいった。》。お話のちょっとした一部みたいにしたかったのでタイトル長いけど。。。最後に、丸い木枠をくるむように留めつけて、完成。刺繍で、面をうめるのは、とっても時間がかかる。でも、昔から、刺繍で表現されたものが好きで好きで。その筆頭は、やはり仏バイユーの至宝「マチルダ王妃のタピスリ」だろう。刺繍が芸術にまで高められている逸品なのだ。そしてどこの国にも美しい刺繍の手仕事がたくさん残っている。それらを鑑賞する楽しみと言ったら！
←これで完成。渋谷区神宮前にお引越ししたピンポイント･ギャラリーで12月9日からはじまる[pinholeのぞきあな]展に出品します。展覧会は21日（土）までで、初日は14時から19時まで。通常は12時−19時。日曜休み。絵本の仕事をしている28作家が出品してそれぞれの「のぞきあな」を制作するという展覧会。
『めだかのおうち』できました

こんな本ができてきた。5年まえから、めだかを飼っている（このダイアリーをさかのぼっていくと、めだかを連れて来た日のことなどが書いてある。なつかしい）。アトリエのベランダと、部屋の中のボウル、バケツ、かびんなどあらゆる器を総動員で、そこで通算2000匹以上が生まれた。そして今日また二匹卵からかえった。めだかのいる暮らしを描くということ、編集の方が声をかけてくださった。めだかは、かわいい。本当にかわいいな。
『おっぱい どーこ？』できました

こんな本つくりました。知り合いの獣医さんちで生まれた7ひきの子犬たちに恋しまくっていた日々。。。その恋は、こんな形になりました。「子犬がねー、かわいくてねー、もう眼に映る全部が子犬にみえちゃうんですよ」とか熱く語っていたら、編集者さんが「その思いを絵本にしたら？」と声をかけてくださったのです。こどものとも0.1.2 の7月号です。
めだかを描いていて...

この画像は、わたしのデスク。
いま、透明水彩絵の具でめだかの絵を描いていて（今年、めだかの絵本がでます）、筆を洗おうとしてうっかりめだかのいる左の水槽で筆を洗ってしまいそうになる。。。アブナイアブナイ。。。
ステンドグラス「生命の樹」

©Kosuke Adachi母校の青山学院中等部に礼拝堂ができることになり、そのステンドグラスの原画を描かせてもらうことに決まったのが4年前。図面を見ると高さ6メートル。大きい。。。光栄だけど、責任重大だぁ、と悩み、悶絶し、わたしなりに勉強をし。。。そして代々木公園ににある老木「サイカチノキ」から一部着想を得てこの「生命の樹」の原画を描いたのでした。旧約聖書の創世記にでてくる木。いろいろある私からの熱いメッセージが、生徒の人たちの心地よい生活をさまたげないことを祈ります。。。制作は「大竹ステンドグラス」さん。原画をガラスに置き換えていく解釈、設計者との打ち合わせ、実制作、現場での取り付けまですべてをやってくださいました。いろいろな方の励ましと応援とご尽力により、ここまで来ることができたのです。本当に感謝です。
The middle school "Aoyamagakuin", I used to go, had a plan to build its own chapel and I was chosen as the stained glass designer four years ago. The draft showed that the stained glass was six meters in height. I was surprised that it's huge. It was a great honor, but a lot of responsibility, as well. I pondered: struggled and researched stained glass and the Bible in my own way... I got one of my ideas from the old tree of honey locust in Yoyogi Park, and I depicted the drawing "The Tree of Life".
"The Life of Tree" is written in the Old Testament. I made it as a message to the students from me. If they received it, I would be glad, but if they didn't, I don't care. I want for them to have relaxed feeling. Contrary to our expectations, passing time in the chapel is long through the school life. I now think that the time I spent in the chapel was a time of pondering. The maker of the stained glass is Ohtake Stained Glass Factory. The staff of the factory did almost everything on the stained glass; interpreting the drawing for the replacement into glass, having meetings with the architect, building the stained glass, installing it at the chapel. Thanks to the people who supported me. I truly appreciate (AA)it. The Cross was made by the sculptor, ex-art teacher, and a Christian, as well, the late Keiji Kosaka. I heard that it was made of the wooden water pipes in the Edo period. Photo is by Kosuke Adachi.
アンコールワットの日の出-カンボジアへの旅3-The Sunrise at Angkor Wat

ガイドさんの強いおすすめは、アンコールワットの日の出。そうか、そうまでいうならがんばろう。まだ暗いうちに起き出す。トゥクトゥクで真っ暗な道を日の出のためのおでかけだ。。途中、トゥクトゥクが、本来の「トゥクトゥク」音ではない へんな「ゴトゴト」音をたてて、上下動を始める。なんかへんじゃない？と同行のA子ちゃんと言い合っていると、ドライバーがトゥクトゥクを止めた。タイヤをチェックして、「なんか、釘ささって、パンクしちゃった。でもこのまま行くね」と。カンボジアの人は、こんなときにもにこやかだ。
肌寒い。長袖着て来てよかった。日中は30度超えるけど、朝晩はすずしい。真っ暗ななか、ぞろぞろ人が歩いてくる。そして一番の日の出ウォッチスポットへ集結する。参道左手にある池がそのスポット。池に映るアンコールワットの遺構と朝日がみんなのお目当てなのだ。5時に到着して、ゆっくりゆっくり空のドラマをみる。そしてそこにいる人ほとんどすべてが、太陽にスマフォをかざしている。その人々の様子も、見ていただきたく思います。
The Cambodian guide fiercely recommended us to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Well, since she said so, I decided to see it. I got up though it was still dark outside. I went out by tuktuk for the sunrise. On the way to Angkor Wat, the tuktuk kept jarring and shook up and down. I and A, my friend, were saying "it seems something is wrong". The driver stopped the tuktuk and he checked the tire and said to us that the tuktuk had hit a nail and a flat tire. But he was going to the Angkor Wat, anyway.
Cambodian people always have smiling faces even in such an uncomfortable situation.
It was a little bit cold. Wearing a long outer sleeve was helpful. The temperature in the daytime was over 30 degrees, but it was cold in the early morning and night. There were crowd walking by and they gathered to the best point to watch the sunrise. The spot is on the left side of the approach to the temple. Our aim was watching the sunrise behind the temple buildings and their reflections on the pond. We arrived at five o'clock, and we were watching the drama of the changing sky for a long time. I found that the almost people there held smartphones toward the sunrise. I'd like to show you the view.
蓮の実-カンボジアへの旅2- A Lotus Seed Pod

カンボジアの街、シエムリアップ郊外には、蓮の栽培池があり、蓮の実を売っている。6つで1ドル。それを買って、カンボジア人のガイドさんに食べ方を教わる。蓮の台から実をはずす。緑色の皮をはずすと真っ白い芯があらわれる。それをぱくり、と食べて見せてくれる。へー、そうやって生でたべられるんだ。真似して食べてみる。さくっとした食感とさわやかな甘み。上野の不忍池の蓮の実だって食べられるんだなぁ、と知ってしまったいま、池をみる目がかわるなぁ。。。ちなみに、茎も料理に使うんだそうです。
There are lotus ponds in the countryside of Siem Reap in Cambodia, and I bought lotus seeds there. They were priced at six for one US dollar. The Cambodian guide told me how to eat them. At first you should take the seed off from the lotus seed pod. Next, you'll get a white core after peeling off the green seed. The guide ate up it. I was surprised that it was edible raw. I copied her and ate it. It was crispy and slightly sweet. Now, I know that I can eat even the lotus seed in Shinobazunoike Pond, in Ueno, Tokyo, I'm going to be interested in them as food. Incidentally, I heard that you can also eat the cooked stems of the lotus flower.
こんな景色のところでした。トンレサップ湖ーカンボジアへの旅1

暮れに行ったカンボジアで見てきた風景を、とある出版社の定期刊行物のためのイラストレーションとして、描いた。少年たちが、湖の生き物を獲っているの図。描き終えて、ふと気付いた。これはまるで真夏ではないか！そうです、カンボジアは常夏です。先々週に見てきたばかりの光景だけど、春の号に載せてもらうにはあまりにも夏すぎる！！！というわけで、自らボツにして、新年そうそう、とほほ。湖の水は、こんなふうに土色ににごってて、そんな中、魚とかへびとか獲ってるんです、すごいな。というわけでボツ絵をここにアップ。トンレサップ湖は、すごく大きい湖で、雨季には、乾季の3倍の大きさになるそうな。いまは、ちょうど乾季で、雨にも降られずよい時期でした。
I drew a scene which I saw in Cambodia when I went at the end of the year as an illustration for a publisher's periodical.
It shows that boys are getting fish and snakes in the lake. After finishing the illustration, I finally found that it's an entirely summer scene! It was just two weeks ago I'd seen it, however it wouldn't be appropriate for a spring issue. Therefore I rejected it of my own accord and I sighed deeply with disappointment at the beginning of the year...
The lake water was muddy like this. The boys were getting game fish and snakes.
They were awesome!

Tonle Sap Lake is huge. In the rainy season, I heard that it becomes three times bigger than in the dry season.
When I visited, it was the dry season, so I didn't get rain. It was a good season to visit.

始まりました、2019年。今年もよろしくお願い致します。今年、わたしは、とにかくタブローを描きためます。それと並行して、子犬の絵本、めだかの絵本、そして、おひなさまの絵本を作ります。それと並行して、形にしたいものがあります。グループ展にも参加します。できるかな。できるんだろう。いや、できるのだ〜。スキップしながら、鼻歌歌いながら楽しくできるといいんだけど。絵とか表現って手に負えないことがままあるんですよね。今朝は突き抜けるような青い空。この空の上には、宇宙があって、宇宙ステーションがあって、そこで仕事をしてる人たちがいるんだ。すごいな。さーて、わたしたちもがんばりましょうか。
