絵本作家のおもちゃ展 The Toy Exbition By Children's book Artist

もうすぐ、こんなおもちゃオブジェで展覧会をする。
カムをいれて、ハンドルをまわすとくるくる動くという、シンプルなからくりでひたすら板を切り抜き、形を作った。何を作るか考えるのも、作業も、楽しすぎる！だから、時間に追われていてはもったいない！というわけで、時間に追われるのをすっぱりやめた（気持ちの持ちかたを変えるだけでかんたん。そしてこれが続けられたらすごくいいことね）。それでひたすら作っている。絵本家の広松由希子さんにオブザーバーをお願いして、丸善丸の内本店児童書担当の兼森理恵さんと一緒に世話人をして、実現することになった展覧会。すてきな絵本作家さんたちがいっぱいよ。みんな、どんな作品をもっていらっしゃるんでしょう。それもたのしみ。ご都合つきましたら、お出かけくださいませ。

I'm going to hold an exhibit of handmade toys.
The toys have wheels and you can move them with a handle. The mechanism is very simple. I cut the board all day long and built toys.It's very delightful to think about what I shall make, and to actually make them.
Therefore, I'm enjoying it so much that I don't feel like I'm pressed for time!
I finally stopped thinking that I was busy.
(It was easy to change my mind. I want to continue thinking in this way).
I asked Yukiko Hiromatsu, a children's book critic, to be an observer of this exhibition and I planned this exhibition with Rie Kanemori, a super bookseller for Maruzen Book Store in Tokyo Marunouchi.
All five of us are children's book artists.
I'm also looking forward to seeing their toys.
